Membership at CMCA provides year-long admission into the world of Maine contemporary art. No other art institution in the state provides a more active exhibition schedule bringing you face-to-face with more artists and their compelling work.

CMCA members receive exclusive access to the best in Maine contemporary art. As a member, you will be among the first to see Maine’s emerging art, and to personally meet some of the most well-known artists and experts of the art world. Members also receive invitations to Members’ Previews, guided tours, artist lectures, and other special events.

ANNUAL FUND

Annual support from our constituents is crucial for CMCA. Gifts to the Annual Fund, above and beyond your annual membership, provide essential support for CMCA’s daily operations and development of new programs for the community. A strong Annual Fund ensures the fiscal vitality of CMCA, enabling us to continue showcasing the latest in Maine contemporary art, taking outreach programs into Maine’s underserved communities, educating youth about contemporary art, and providing opportunities for all Maine artists.

Including CMCA in your estate plans demonstrates your commitment to Maine contemporary art. CMCA accepts many forms of planned gifts. Please notify us if you have included CMCA in your will, or in another estate-planning device.

IRA Rollover

A new bill has been passed allowing donors age 70 1/2 and older to make tax free withdrawals from their IRAs when donated directly to charities. The provision is in effect only through 2007 and a maximum of $100,000 may be rolled over annually. Only 501c3 organizations, like CMCA, may be the recipient of these direct, cash gifts.

This bill is a unique, limited opportunity. Interested donors are encouraged to consult their tax advisors early to make a year-end gift.
